There are literally hundreds if not more exercises, routines, YouTube videos to watch that you can do from home, or anywhere really.
Your goals matter, however, and this a vague question, but I will do my best to answer.
If you simply need to shed a few pounds like 5 or 10 – I would recommend that you simply change your eating habits and take a few laps around the block. You could walk, jog, bike or run. Or you could start with walking and progress to the latter options, which will/should happen naturally anyway. Either way, you should be doing this for at least 30 minutes a day.
Additionally, you could invest in an inexpensive pull-up bar that also turns into a push-up and dip tool when placed on the floor. You can get them for pretty cheap on Amazon or a similar site. I wouldn’t pay more than $30 including shipping. These are very effective! I own one and use it.
I will address food last, even though it is the most important aspect of your goals.
If you would like to lose between 10-20 pounds, the same examples from above apply but you should examine some additional tools as well. I want to note that there was no specific timeframe for this question so take it as fast or slow as your body permits or with the time you have. Always be careful with all aspects of training!
It’s a funny thing – once you see progress, you naturally want to see more so you push yourself even further, accomplishing many more things than you ever thought or even set out to accomplish.
So, with a goal of 10-20 pounds – I would suggest the same as above. You will achieve the same results – it will just take longer (possibly), but this is not always the case. As I stated, once you see results – you will definitely want to see more. You will know what you can handle.
The question is How Can I Lose Weight From Home and this assumes that there are no people that own any type of bench, weights or machines. I know that many people do have these items and should absolutely become part of a routine that can be answered here. Especially if trying to lose more than 10 pounds from home, but these should be common to your everyday life anyway. Why do you have them after all?
If you are trying to lose more than 20 pounds, there are some pretty big issues that need to be addressed. You should contact your physician and get their thoughts and advice. There could be a medical issue that may be able to be resolved under a Dr.s care. That was a disclaimer.
Likely, you are eating like sh*t, drinking a lot of alcohol, have a sedentary life or a couple of them combined. This is assuming there are no medical issues. 20 pounds overweight is not overweight by the way – it is obese and needs to be dealt with if you want a better quality of life. Cut out the alcohol or limit it as best as possible, do NOT eat fast food as this will kill you before aiding you in your goals and perform the above.
I could lay out a diet that would NOT apply to all, or you can read more about What are the best ways to lose weight? Everything that one could want for a diet in the simplest terms is in that post and extremely accurate. Additionally, there are some bonus workouts and exercises.
To be honest, you can lose as much weight as you want and you can do it “from home” (walks, jogs, runs and biking close to home are considered “from home.”)
Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint! Do the right things and what you want to happen WILL!
